About

It all started when…

Turner is a musician, educator, and instrument maker. Turner’s music often combines his invented instruments, electronics, interactive lighting and video, and instruments you’ve seen before (often played in ways you haven’t seen before). Turner is a founding member of Triangulus Art Collective, has presented his work at universities across the country, and performed at venues such as Joe’s Pub and Madison Square Park (NYC). He is currently an Artist In Residence through The Fuse Factory Electronic and Digital Arts Lab in Columbus, Ohio where he organizes, composes, and performs his music alongside collaborating artists for monthly performances. This residency series, called Interface, aims to explore new areas of music performance and composition through his collaborations with groups and individuals of varying musical backgrounds.

When not creating music, Turner is at The Columbus Metropolitan Library being an art and technology mentor for teenagers in the Downtown Columbus area. He is from Athens, Ohio where he received a BM in Music Composition from Ohio University in 2015. Turner graduated from Rutgers University in 2017 with a MA in Music Composition.
